Dj Pringle brings it “Back to the City”.
Prince Ntuli known as DJ PRINGLE is a Hip Hop Dj and Producer based at the city of coal (eMalahleni). Ironically, he was recently a runner up at the Back to the City Producers Battle on the 27thof April 2017. While doing his matric in 2006, he discovered his ability toproduce Hip hop/Rap music, It was the same year that he was able to acquire his personal computer and Dj equipment thus starting to work on beats with producers from his neighborhood, he later moved to the city of gold (Jozi) to study production then started to produce beats for emcees.
“I chose hip hop because of the way people around me basked through this culture, the vibes and connection that the music could bring to them, to me that was really inspiring and growing up around it made me to want to be involved with it.”_ Dj Pringle
An indie artist that co owns a record label called Studio Mix Soundz SA , which was started due to the fact that we couldn’t stop making music once we started in
2006. This has seen a birth of projects and concepts (which can be found on the Discography session of this profile). I also record hip hop mixes which I drop every month, collecting tracks strictly for Mpumalanga. The mixes are submitted to online radio stations, burn discs, and distribute it to the market.
The type of music that we make, scout or work on all the time has to have a positive message, something that people can relate to on a personal level and not commercial perceptions. The music must give hope to the people who love the genre. It is to help the unsigned make it without a deal or get a feature to improve their skills nevertheless we want to win.
I am a guy who really love making music moreover very focus and believes in hard work and critical thinking also passionate and working overtime to put the city that made me to
fall in love with this music of the slaved (Hip Hop/Rap) on the map. All kind of music inspires all the music that I do from jazz from the older timer to the heavy metal from that torn jean dude with tattoos, studded wristband and soul from that beautiful lady with uncombed hair. I always find a way to put those elements into my production. Man, not forgetting the people on the streets where I get ideas from the topics that we hold down on a daily.
I am currently working on a compilation called Rap Drug; the compilation will feature 24 emcees, four poets and 4 producers from the Nkangala Region who have never been on the same record before, this is something that no Dj/Producer has ever done in Mpumalanga.
